Not surprisingly, starting a prayer group begins with prayer - even before the group is formed. Here are some guidelines:
1. Pray that God will give you the name of the first person to invite.

2. With that person ask God to give you the names of others that might be interested in joining you. When you and your prayer partner are in agreement on the names, invite them to join you.

3. Locate a quiet place to meet.

4. Set a regular time to begin and end your prayer time.

5. Begin your prayer times by agreeing on a process for your time together. Be clear about the commitments you are making.

6. Trust God to lead your group into the perfect pattern for each meeting as you listen to Him and obey.
